:roflmao:That would be fun Bill, can you get them with little monitors and computers. :p

Oh dear Caia is back in hospital, but hopefully she'll be home soon. She had developed a cough so Kelly took her to the doctor just after lunch and he sent her back in for observation. They were hanging around till around teatime waiting to see the doctor. It turns out she is asthmatic and has a chest infection, they gave her medicine and said if she was OK in a couple of hours she could go home, loaded with medicine and inhalers.

I can't get through to her at present, the signal at the hospital is crap so I've got to wait till she gets in touch with me again.

OK she's just phoned me and they are on their way back home, she's had steroids and going home with more and inhalers. So now she has everyone with asthma, hubby and the boys. :(

:grouphug:

Aww bless her I'm glad she's on her way home and has managed to be diagnosed, hopefully the inhalers and steroids will help with her chest and breathing. At least being in the know of having asthma will help her to ensure Caia is looked after properly. It's such a shame but hopefully she may grow out of it, I know my brother did.

Keep us updated.

..as for the socks Bill no pink doesn't really suit John. :p

Off on my first aid course tomorrow, so I've made my butties packed my bag and am good to go. John's on the school run so that should be fun for those two. She's got to be nice to him tomorrow though she's under strict instructions.

Sorry to hear that Joan, so young to start with that :(

if you don't instruct her, she messes with John does she? :)

A Guy

Han is the female version of John so he has kind of met his match with her because she's wired exactly the same as he is. They have very similar personalities and wind each other up. 5 minutes in a room together and all hell can break loose and I get to play referee!

Thanks you two, I told Kelly that maybe because she's been diagnosed early she might grow out of it, but she said Peter (that's her hubby) didn't so we don't know. The next hurdle now is getting her to eat, which is a struggle.

She had enough stress yesterday but then had the added stress over a delivery of a new bed for Caia. I have a Littlewoods account, had it for donkey years, Kelly had ordered a new bed for Caia and we were informed it would be delivered yesterday and they gave a time of between 17.00 and 21.00 hours.

I tracked it throughout the day, things seemed to be going well till just after 7 when Kelly got a text message at the hospital to tell her the bed would not be delivered, they'd run out of time. Looking at the tracking and it was still going, she was delivery 45 and they'd made delivery 44 and were showing on the map as just a couple of miles away from me, Kelly is then about another 5/6 miles away from me.

I then looked again about ½ an hour later and it showed 19.25 Unable to Finish Delivery. Grrrrrrrr Of course by that time the phones were closed as well as the chat. Kelly got a message this morning to arrange another delivery and the earliest they could give her was Friday. Apparently they only deliver in this area Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

I had a rant at Littlewoods about it and then at the delivery company so they've put a note on it that it must be delivered on Friday because of failed delivery due to out of time issues.

Things never go smoothly do they, I could do without these upsets. :(

Oh Joan things are so no fun for you at the minute, that's awful when that happens especially when you've been tracking the parcel and you're reaching the final hurdle! It's not like they can leave it anywhere either. Hopefully things will start looking up for you guys soon.

Caia had her first sleep in her new bed last night and was fine, although seeing pictures of her in it she looks tiny. She had no trouble getting out, she did it once in the night but then cried because she couldn't get back in, of course it's that bit higher than her old cot. Kelly has put a rolled up duvet along the side under the sheet to act as a barrier if she rolls over so she doesn't fall off the side.

She's getting better at eating but of course this will take time so Kelly's taking it a day at a time, I've told her she'll have days were she'll eat well then not eat the next, just keep calm and not get upset as that will rub off on Caia and make matters worse. She's giving her lots of praise even if she only gives something a tiny nibble. :D

Kids are hard when it comes to eating. They have these pediacure type products in an attempt to get them some protein. I had a friend whose son only ate chicken nuggets! Seriously, only nuggets. His parents started it because it was easy...there couldn't have possibly been enough food groups in a nugget!

Also, I rarely fall out of bed anymore :D

Aww bless her, is Kelly going to get one of those bed rails to stop her falling out? We never bothered with Hannah as she was pretty good at staying in bed and if she did fall out it wasn't that much of a drop. As a kid I fell out of my bunk bed and hit the deck! Didn't do it again I might add! :p

As with the food I wouldn't worry so much, as long as she stays hydrated and eats when she wants to that is the best solution. Kids pick up on lots of things and they like to be the independent ones so Kelly is doing right with all the praise when she does eat something. All they can do is take it each day and see how they get on. As long as she gets healthier and happier that's all that matters. Glad to hear she is back at home and finally in the new bed!

:sleep-039:

:roflmao:

Kelly makes all her meals from scratch, even pizzas, lots of veg and pasta etc. Her hubby has to keep fit as he's a coastguard so on some rescues strength and fitness matter. He's at the gym most days and has all those protein drinks etc. They are very health conscious and watch what additives are in food, no salt or sugar apart from natural occuring ones.

She takes her back to the hospital on Tuesday for them to check her bloods again but she's on the right road to full health again. :)

:D Looks as if I was writing my post while you were doing yours Angie, that ROFL was for Bill not falling out of bed anymore.

Was it the top bunk you fell out of Angie?

The boys had bunk beds when they lived in the flat it was the only way they could get them beds in the room. When they got bigger they had to swop rooms and give them the double room and Kelly and hubby moved into the single room, which wasn't really even a proper single sized room, Caia had to go in with the boys as well. Now they're in a house the rooms are much better sized, the boys have been put in the largest because they are in single beds now but at least the middle room is a decent size for Kelly and hubby and Caia is in the single which is bigger than the one in the flat.

LOL! You got there before me. :D

It sounds like they have a good diet and that will help as they can monitor what goes into Caia whereas with processed food you can't. I prefer to make my own food, other than a few sauces we pretty much make stuff from scratch too, that way you know what you're getting. Garlic is a big no no for me.

As for me well the First Aid course went well this week, it's been a while since I've had to commute and on day one I just made it there with 3 minutes to spare as the motorway was a nightmare.

We've covered everything this week from CPR, burns, shock, anaphylaxis to using defibs etc, it's been quite a busy week and I've learned a lot. The best thing was on Friday my First Aid skills were needed by my lovely hubby who needed some attention. Unfortunately whilst outside he got stung on the back of the neck by something (although he wasn't sure what). After asking him was he allergic to stings he said he wasn't sure as it's the first time he's been stung (this I find hard to believe as he worked outside for years) anyway he didn't show any signs of anaphylaxis so I checked the wound to see if the sting was still present and gave him a cold compress. He was less than impressed and asked if that was it, I told him if he had more symptoms I could do a lot more for him but in his present condition that was it. :p

:what: I don't want to go there. :scream:

Glad you got through it OK, Peter has to do them on a regular basis, I think it's every 3 years you have to take the test again. Have you had the kitchen inspection or is that stll to come ?

Yeah it's still every 3 years, mine was up for renewal at the end of June so I managed to get booked on. It's actually quite amazing how much starts flowing back to you. As for the inspection it went really well, the lady who came to visit gave me some new info and guidelines and was really happy with everything she saw so I'm really pleased, :Dyou know what I'm like about my kitchen.

I don't know where my brain is though at present, yesterday I made Bakewell tart and forgot to put the essence in and today I was cubing peppers and instead of putting them in my pan I put them straight in my bin! I think I'm a little tired or that's my excuse anyway! :p

It's supposed to be Hans Sports Day today but it's been called off due to the rain.

Connors got postponed till Friday, it's supposed to be Cameron's tomorrow. It started off crap this morning but then the afternoon turned out sunny, at least it meant my solar lights got a decent charge.

I love my lights, I've got Twit, Twoo a couple of owls, 3 Meercats that are standing up holding lanterns, Mervin, Mikey and Marvin, a Welcome sign above a bench with small Meercats sitting on it and a street light above them and another bench with Papa and Ollie Meercat sitting on it under a street light.

Mervin doesn't do very well, he got knocked over and his arm holding the lantern got broke off and just hanging on by the wires. I glued his arm back on but a few times I've had to fiddle with his inside workings to make him work, he has condensation in his lantern but if he gets a charge he'll light up even if it's only for an hour.

I've got a soft spot for him as I've had him for several years and he always worked well, I got him free when I'd ordered something from Daxon. :D

Lol, I love garden ornaments but we cannot have any because the trees and bushes have taken over the borders so we get a flash of a garden light now and again but other than that they are buried!

I still have my big buddha but he won't get grown over because he's too big and stands up. :D I love meerkats, I'm so jealous I bet they look fab. I think gardens tend to reflect people's personalities so it's always good to see what's in them. I'd have gnomes too if I could.

They have re arranged sports day now for next Monday so fingers crossed it will be a nice day.

I'm currently making jam and lemon curd tarts at the moment, I have to tell myself that standing over the oven will not make them bake any quicker, now they are cooling and I've had to come away. It's only because I'll taste test it and weld it to the top of my mouth otherwise. :eyeroll:

Ok not sure how many you'll have to turn round but just been to take these.
