Well this morning I went back to the hospital to find out the results from the needle sampling, the process I didn't need to have done.

Anyway everything is fine as things are but I was given 2 options, either carry on with the tablets but drop them down to one a day for now or travel even further away than the last hospital to have radiation therapy, of course I opted for the tablet route. :D It will pass over to my GP to do regular blood tests every 4 to 6 weeks, if things don't go right they'll get back onto the specialist who can put me in a virtual clinic with him.

Of course my blood pressure was very high when they took it not long after I got there, higher than last time. :eyeroll: Of course I'm just glad I don't have to travel and it can be done by them coming out to me. :D

I have the rights to the Life of Joan lol!

I'm glad you're doing okay and that you can just take the tablets, although I must confess I'm slightly disappointed that you won't be on your travels again as I'm sure there would have been another story to tell! :p

@ Angie :roflmao:

I'm still in a lot of pain and discomfort from the trip to have the needle sampling done, so no-way Jose :what:

Don't worry I'm sure there will be more Life of Joan to come.

Oh no, eww needles those pesky things! No fun, hopefully your pain will ease and all will be better with you soon. Keep wrapped up nice and toastie what with the forecast snow headed for us and get John to look after you for a bit.

I'm looking forward to the new adventures! :p

Things are on the mend slowly so as long as I stay at home I'll be OK. Had fun watching the electricity board today.
Last year they were changing the poles around here, putting in taller ones which were newer. The ones in were old and some were going rotten, in fact all the years I've lived here, which is 24, they haven't been changed.

Among others I got a new one on the front lawn and the next in line, which carries my electricity and my neighbours behind me, is in the corner between me and another person. The person next to him wouldn't let them change that one at the time because he said it would damage his block paving on the drive. :eyeroll:

A man from the electricity came round with a note last week to tell us the power would be off today between 10am and 2pm for essential maintenance. He'd kept on about getting the pole changed and obviously they'd finally succeeded in getting permission to do the job, don't know how, perhaps they'd managed to get a court order or something. The rest of us had said at the time he shouldn't have stopped them, after all if they'd caused any damage they would have to put it right.

Not sure what time they came but they were busy getting everything ready then just after 10 the power went and they carried on erecting the new pole then connecting all the lines back and the support wiring to hold the pole in place. The power went back on just after 12, first thing I did was put the heating on and then the kettle to make a drink. :D

It was then a matter of going round and re-setting the clocks on stuff, microwaves, cooker and heating. The alarm clocks were ok because they had battery backup so they worked when the power came back. The heating controls are the worst as their backup has finally given up the ghost and it's only recent I was informed where the battery was in them so of course I'd forgotten about that and set all the controls back before remembering, :plead: I decided not to bother doing it and have to go through all the settings again and wait till next time the power went.:plead:

Ah thanks Bill, it's just part of growing old, there are a lot worse off than me and being miserable about it won't make it any better. :D

Lol, never heard of it, I do remember you talking about the pole guys last year though! See more fun and games for you although no fun with no heat especially in this weather. Han's full of a cold today well she was yesterday too so we seem to be having a duvet day today!

Hope Han's better soon, actually it wasn't too bad that day weather wise so at least I didn't suffer too much.

Ice Station Zebra was made in 1968 with Rock Hudson, Ernest Borgnine and Patrick Mcgoohan. here's a link about it.

One of the best books MacLean wrote. Sorry to say but in my opinion the movie is not even close so*good.

I shall have to watch the vid when I get a mo, Han is till suffering heavily with a really bad cold and a very chesty cough.

Florence to the rescue......

Off to eat a nice slice of Chocolate cake now....time to put the kettle on me thinks. :D

How's Han, is she any better ?

I'm just getting our evening meal ready, cobbler with a sweet chilli, lime and coriander dusting, chips, peas and parsley sauce. :D

I have either the mildest cold ever, or the slowest growing cold. If it never grows beyond this, I'll be happy :)

A Guy
