Oh no Bill, did I dance too soon :(, aww bless you, I do hope they sort you out with a new recruit soon you deserve it. I know you're very good at your job but your experience should be utilised properly. I'm hoping this is just a blip for you, good things come to those who wait. We're all rooting for you...although I promise no happy dances until the deal is signed sealed and delivered to you in person.

I know a sad day for a true legend, I loved him in Labyrinth, I got Han to watch it a while ago with me so it was easy to explain who he was.

Absolutely love this....

He also got pride of place in thought for the day.....

I still need to check my lottery tickets to see if I've won the other half of the £66 million.

Ooh what a start to the year that would be.

You can dream Angie, it would certainly be nice, I don't buy tickets :D

Got a letter from the surgery yesterday asking me to phone with regards my tests. They wanted to know if I could go in tomorrow and when I told them I couldn't get in at all she said that's OK she'd send someone out to talk about the results. I don't know if it will be a doctor or the nurse practitioner who comes out, we'll just have to wait and see.

Hopefully a professional

Spoke to the doctor and apparently I'm bordering on anaemic and as I can't change my diet I've got iron tablets. The other thing he couldn't understand was why a thyroid test was done when I had an infection, it was a bit active. He's giving me more of the antibiotics that I first had which were clearing the water infection up and he wants me tested again in 3 months for the thyroid, hopefully when the infections gone.

My kidneys are fine so that's OK. :p

Ooh the things you could do with that sort of money! I only buy tickets when it's a big rollover other than that I don't play, I still haven't managed to check them though. Apparently it's much harder to win now with all the extra numbers. I love the american ones though, they go up to silly money over there like $700 million, what on earth could you do with that. You'd probably have heart attack at the prospect of winning it!

Been out to get his lordship a new throne today, apparently he fell off his other one and broke it, I wished I would have seen him do it! I miss all the fun! Very cold and icy today as the temp continues to drop, looking forward to a leisurely weekend and a play about with some new food dyes!

The recent powerball lottery was 1.6 BILLION dollars! Apparently 3 tickets will split it. Hope they can make do with 1/3 of that!

Oh boy Joan, you will make the medical journals at this rate :( Sure hope you are better soon

So do I Bill getting a bit fed up with one thing after another going wrong, mind you I can't complain there are people worse off than me and at least I'm alive which has to be better than the alternative. :p

Very productive today, lots of things ticked off the to do list and a lot more added to it! I have appointments booked, paperwork filed, accounts done and even a spot of washing in between!

Go me!

:dinesh:

Sounds like you had a busy day, I've been washing today as well had 3 loads to do, thank goodness for the tumble dryer.

I know I really need my dryer in this weather although it's one of those on the Hotpoint list of 'can set on fire' machines and even though they told me they would get in contact within 5 weeks it's now over 10 weeks and I'm still waiting for them to get in touch. :grrr:

My friend reported the other day that her washing machine set on fire whilst she was in and that was also a Hotpoint :scream: both my washer and dryer are Hotpoint and quite frankly at the moment I really don't want to do the washing or drying for fear of what my machines might do. :crys:

My dryer is a Hoover and the washing machine is a Candy and I've had them both for probably over 10 years if not longer. The dryer has been rebuilt a few years ago with a new drum and something to do with the electrics, the old drum is outside with a large plant in it.

Hotpoint...irony...

Ha ha thanks Bill, I've never thought about that!

@Joan I must admit I've always had Hotpoint washers and dryers but seem to replace them every couple of years, the last two machines I had leaked and now the rubber on the one I have now doesn't look too clever. It may be time to look at a new supplier. I saw a fabulous Samsung one the other day but couldn't find a dryer that went with it. It was very 21st century with a very hefty price tag!

Oooh gadgets! Lol, I say that but I only use two wash cycles! :p
