A Guy

Ha ha, I know. Apparently, it's supposed to be snowing on Thursday! :snowflake:

I hope you're enjoying it. We only get to see the highlights of DOI on Gogglebox when they show it.

I'm getting my new specs today. 😁

Good luck with your new specs.

Can't you get DOI on catchup?

We've had a bit of sun today but more cloud and on the cooler side, in fact the suns trying to poke through the clouds at the moment.

Those sausage rolls that Bill showed us made me laugh, they look as if they've been frightened to death. 🤣

Yeah, you can't call them sausage rolls, Joan, more like meat lobsters! They did make me laugh, though.

I'm getting to grips with the new specs, thank you, they're very new and feel stronger than my others, so they need a little getting used to.

I don't think I'd have the time to watch DOI, but I'm glad you're enjoying it.

As for the weather, it's dry a little sunny, and the birds are tweeting away.

They forecast that we'd probably have clouds and rain today but so far the sun is out again. 😂

I'm having a quick sit down to get my breath back as I'm sorting out the rubbish today.

Glad you're getting on with the glasses, I know with mine in some cases I can see better without any. I do need them for reading though.

It's really raining today, very grey and overcast.

I hope you managed to catch your breath after all that sorting out.

I'm getting used to my glasses now. I'm still using both pairs though, depending on where I am and what I need them for. I only need them for work, though.

Short week this week. Han finishes again for Easter shortly, so we're back to studying again soon.

We did get some rain but not until late afternoon and it was just a quick drizzle, nothing of real importance.

Glad to hear you're getting used to your glasses, when I first had to start wearing them I was told I had to wear them all the time which is why I had bifocals and another pair that were single vision and just for a certain distance from my computer screen.
I do still need them for reading and working on the laptop, I still have the original pair of single vision for that purpose but can also use my last pair of prescription glasses for that as well.

How long do they have for Easter, is it still 2 weeks?

I'm still using both pairs at the minute, so I don't have to keep going back and forth. The new glasses have lighter frames, so that's something I have to get used to.

Han's off for two and a half weeks, April is one of her longer holidays, but this one seems to be filled with things we need to do. It's also going to be full of studying, so she's coming up with a new timetable shortly so we have something to work to.

Does she have exams on the timetable this year Angie, I've forgotten how old she is now?

Does she have exams on the timetable this year Angie, I've forgotten how old she is now?

Yeah, all of them! She's the first year to sit GCSEs since the pandemic, so we've got a study schedule that we're working through. I still can't speak Spanish and do some of the pronunciations in French, but we're muddling through. 😂

Good luck to her, Kelly's boy is just at the option stage, he's 14 in May and dyslectic so will be given the extra help needed.
Her younger boy is down with Covid so she's got her hands full at the moment. 😟

Thank you, we're sat studying at the table as we speak. Yeah, the option stage, seems ages ago now, but hopefully, he can choose all the subjects he wants to do. Sorry to hear about your other grandson. I hope he gets better soon.

I meant to ask, how did the house bid go?

No go on that, we'll see what this weeks list reveals.

I think he's told them his options, Art, History and IT. He is more the artistic one whereas his brother is the sporty one.

I asked for an update this morning and she said he's greatly improved but it doesn't help with him having a faulty respiratory system and he's hardly had any sleep for days because of his coughing so of course she's been awake listening and not being able to help him. At least he's on the mend now though, he had a clear result this morning and just needs one tomorrow and he can come out of isolation.

Oh no, I hope this week is better for you.

So he's more the creative type then. I'm sorry to hear that he's been having a tough time. I'm glad he's improving, and now that he's out of isolation, that will help enormously. I do wish him a speedy recovery.

We were putting ideas together yesterday for Han's jacket for Art. It's for her final piece. John came up with some fab ideas, and what she's managed to put together so far doesn't look half bad. I had to be the mannequin for a little while and was draped in material and safety pins. 😂 Considering none of us had any idea of what we were doing, it's turning out alright.

That sounds like fun, you're taking up modeling now are you. 😂

I'll pass on your wishes to them. I'm just hoping that Caia doesn't get it or Kelly.

Apparently, I'm a jack of all trades in this house. 🤣

Fingers crossed they are fine, I have to go I'm being summoned to do revision! Speak later...maybe, if I'm allowed. 😂 😂 😂

🤣 Hope the revision went well. :D

He had another negative test so is back at school, even though they have lifted the restrictions about isolation etc. she wasn't prepared to send him to school when he contracted it.

We're hoping Caia doesn't get it, she has lived in a house that has now had someone with it 3 times, her Dad and both brothers and she and her Mum have been OK. Kelly did tell me yesterday they had decided that they were going to let her have the injection now they have brought her age group into the program.

Kelly said that really it was the lesser of 2 evils and she'd been through such a lot health-wise in her young life that the thought of not having it and getting Covid and it killing her against having it and maybe being sick for a while is worth the risk.

Of course she will still be worried, but I told Caia that she'd told me that I was going to live to be 108 so she has to be around to make sure I do. 🤣
