Haven't seen any of those :)

A Guy

I hadn't seen any of the Harry Potter films until Han managed to talk me into watching some of them. I think I've seen 4 of them now.

As for films Joan, I'm currently working my way through Netflix. We all watched Pixels the other day, and then Han and I watched Moana yesterday because I hadn't seen it.

I don't have Netflix, I do have Sky Cinema with my Sky, never really watched a lot of films John would never sit through one, and when cycling season was on, which seemed to be all year, that would be on. I supposed that's one of the reasons I buried myself in using the computer, it didn't matter what was on the telly then.

I know you don't have Netflix, so do you have Disney+ then? I know you like your DVD's though.

No, I don't have Disney+ either, I can't justify the cost of those extras when I know I won't watch them that much. I do have a few DVDs but not a really large collection, especially compared to Kelly, she has several bookcases full, but she does have children so has to cater to several different tastes. They have family film nights when they all watch a film together.

Here it's just me and I have enough channels to watch and when they are on at the same time lots of recordings to catch up with. 😂

We used to have loads of DVD's for Han when she was younger and used to buy them when we went shopping. We haven't got any now. We tend to stream things nowadays.

Today, we're back on the quest of finding a Prom Dress! That and trying to get back into a routine before Han goes back to school.

Kelly's lot go back on Thursday. They do a lot of streaming, I started out having Amazon for the free delivery option but then when their video service arrived I kept it going so they could use my account to get the streaming side of it, they pay half the fee.

They bought the stick for their TV so they could watch them but it was not something we used while John was alive, but since getting the new telly I don't need to use a stick as it came with the app. included.

It came with Freeview but as I don't have aerials anymore I can't use that, I don't use the Netflix app. because I don't have a subscription for it, I can't remember what the others are without looking but I don't use them. I know you can plug a USB drive into it but haven't used that either. :D

We use Netflix through Sky now, we did have it separately initially, but now we use it through the Sky apps section.

At the minute we're trying to sort out tea for tonight, John says we agreed on chicken, but I'm saying we decided on steak and chips. The problem now is he hasn't pulled the steak out of the freezer. 😂

Which means you'll be having chicken. 😂

I think I'm going to have Corned Beef Hash tonight, I haven't decided which pudding I'll follow it with yet.

Yep, we had Chicken. 😁 So what pudding did you have?

Beer Bratwurst (never had before) and mac and cheese

Was it nice? I first thought it was German beer to swill your Mac and Cheese down with. 🤣 Did you get a cookbook for Christmas, or is it something your saw and thought I'll try it?

I decided to have a small pot of fruit cocktail and put double cream over it. I bought a few Tesco one serving size fruit pots, instead of opening the usual cans, which are too big just for one serving and I might not want to have the same again the next night to use it up. :)

Just something they sell at the supermarket. They were ok, although they were the wurst :D

I prefer Polish sausage, or Louisiana Hot Links

Wow, fruit cocktail, the last time I saw that, I was at Primary School!

Good idea on the small pots, though, waste not, want not.

I'm not quite sure what's on the menu tonight; with it being Friday, it might be a sort yourself night, although I usually end up getting involved in making stuff then also!

It's been a bit of a weird week this week, what with Han going back to school later in the week, I'm still trying to work out what day it is. 🤣

I know what you mean, Kelly's lot went back yesterday (Thursday) which is ridiculous. What is the point of going back just for 2 days in the week?

I'm having Plaice in Breadcrumbs with boiled potatoes and peas, of course I'll mix up some parsley sauce to go with it.

It sort of beds you in without having to do a full week They also have to do it like that to space out the holidays.

How you doing with your shopping deliveries? Are you managing to get all your regular items? We're having a few issues at the minute with a few of our regular items being out of stock.

I'm hoping it settles down though, and we can get back to our regular stuff quite soon.

The deliveries have been very good at the moment, over the last few weeks I've received all items ordered with no subs until last week and I had a sub that was acceptable and 1 item missing.

I know that mainly it's been the cat food that has suffered with their usual brand and variety not available. It's a little better now as Willow isn't so fussy and I only have her now, I had to do the right thing and have the vet out last Thursday to put Sooty to sleep.

He was 18½ and we'd had him since he was 20 weeks old, but he'd started to show his age he'd lost a lot of weight and was struggling to get around he was drinking more and weeing more but last week he'd stopped eating, apart from a small mouthful first thing so he was telling me he was ready to go and I couldn't let him suffer, the vet agreed as soon as he saw him as they knew him when he was a large fit cat.

I feel a bit like I did when John died and keep expecting him to walk in the door or get up in the morning and he's curled up on the couch where he'd spent most of the time lately.

Awww :( he had diabetes sounds like. I spent weeks and weeks of visits trying to get the insulin level correct for my cat. he eventually got like Sooty and I had to have him put down. I never got another cat since. So many good memories, but that last period I couldn't bring myself to repeat. I feel for you Joan, my condolences

Aww, bless you, I'm sorry to hear that; I know how much you adore your pets—big hugs. 😘 I must admit I didn't know that cats had that long of a lifespan. It will take a while to adjust to Sooty not being there but I'm so glad you still have Willow for company.
