Oh dear me Joan, I'm getting dizzy reading that. Please tell me you are all sorted out now? Apologies for the delayed response I seem to be running about too at present. Han did her first Brownie walk for Rememberance Sunday and we got sent to the wrong place then I ended up doing the walk to the Cenotaph with them. It was a lovely day to do it too. Very cold but a good turn out. I will post the pics for you. Today I'm that busy trying to sort out workshops and places and answering questions I was late out on the school run. Only just managed to get a parking space. Lol!

Caia had her first Remembrance day outing Sunday. Her Dad is part of the parade each year with the Coastguards and Kelly always takes the kids to watch. The weather wasn't too bad although it did rain at one point and Kelly was annoyed to see some people leave, rather than stay and honour the dead they'd rather leave so they didn't get a bit wet.

The new meds seem to be making a difference and I'm feeling a bit better, don't know how long it'll last when I stop taking them but my airways are a bit clearer, the only problem is the cocktail of drugs I'm on are bloating me and causing breathlessness but hopefully when I've finished the new meds that will calm down. ;)

Hope Han is OK and her cough has cleared up, I'd love to see the photo's when you get chance to show them glad the day went well for her first Brownies Remembrance walk. :)

That's lovely that Kelly takes the kids each year and braved the rain, we were lucky it stayed lovely and dry for us albeit a tad windy. A few kids made noise during the speeches and a few dog barks but all in all it was a good turn out.

Here's the pics.....

This was during the march, Hans right at the front on the second picture so she was really pleased with herself.

I didn't get any pics from near the Cenotaph, I did get out my camera a few times but thought it may be disrespectful to take photo's when they were laying out the Poppy Wreaths. I suppose it's like taking pics at a funeral, it's not the done thing.

We did pay our respects and it was a nice service outside and a good turn out, I was lucky really as one of the Brownie Mum's took me under her wing as I didn't have a clue where to go or what to do.

We got there in the end! :)

Ooh what a busy busy week I seem to be having, lots to do this week! I have had lots of new interest in my courses and plenty of bookings even for as far as March next year! :D We have been to Han's Christmas Brownie Fair and I have created the Christmas Cupcake Designs today that we will be making on the upcoming workshops. Christmas definitely seems to be my theme of the week, I know it's coming but I always think I have longer and then all of a sudden it creeps up on me!

We did try a little Christmas Shopping too although that didn't really go to plan, Hans list doesn't show any pics and I don't have any product codes so when there is a slight variation in the description I'm not sure which product she actually wants. John says I should just give her an Argos Catalogue! Ha Ha!

Sounds like a good idea with the Argos catalogue, mind you it might mean she gets carried away. :D All my Christmas shopping is done, parents get DVDs of the current series they happen to be following and money is sent for the kids, that way the parents buy what they actually need rather than me get something they don't really want or need.

It's a lot easier being a Granny when it comes to Christmas and Birthday presents, oh! and if you baby sit you can give them back. :p

You're far too organised Joan and it's good that you can give the kids money, they change their minds as often as their socks these days so money is probably the best bet. I think I am going to need pictures as there are different types of some of the things she has listed and I don't want to get the wrong ones.

I have seen a few things that I may get her that aren't on her list so at least she will have a few surprises. :D

I think she usually gets them clothes with the money I send so I'm the boring granny. Their other granny tends to buy them second hand toys bought from the car boot sales so they don't last long, as long as they're cheap she'll buy them.

I see my milestone has passed everyone by. :p

Drum role please...........Well Done Joan on your 1000 post milestone, here's to many more! :D

Sorry been holed up in my kitchen sorting stuff for workshops and baking apple crumble! ;)

Thanks Angie, seen the posts about the crumble. Feeling fed up today, got to see the doctor again tomorrow, been rough all weekend, he phoned me this morning and is going to give me steroids again but for a longer period decreasing in strength over the time.

He was supposed to be faxing the prescription over to the chemist for them to deliver today so I could take a dose then see him tomorrow, no delivery and can't be bothered to check up on them as I've already had problems with them today.

Wait till I go tomorrow and sort it out, I'm not looking forward to the journey though.:(

Aww bless will they ever sort you out, they sound like my bathroom people, clearly nobody has any idea of what's going on you get stuck in the crossfire. They should come to you after all this messing about they keep doing to you.

As they say if you want a job doing, do it yourself. Hopefully you will get sorted out tomorrow, can John not drop you off or do you have to get the bus?

I really do hope you get better soon, I'm hoping the steroids will work their magic and start making you feel better. Let me know how you get on.

:grouphug:

Thanks Angie, John is taking me, there is no way I'd be able to get there on the bus it's too far from the bus station for me to walk, the surgery is in the next town over 6 miles away.

I don't like travelling though, sitting in a car for any time tends to send me into cramp, plus don't have good memories of car travel.

Haven't you had that bathroom sorted out yet, what's taking so long ?

Hope all has gone well with you at the docs Joan, I'm glad that John is taking you even though you don't like the journey. :(

No the bathroom has finally been sorted out now, in the end they sent a different contractor out to rectify all the other problems, he did a lovely job so I can say that after nearly a year the bathroom is finally finished! :dinesh:

As for me busy bee today, posting all next year's workshops to the site, calendar and fb etc, keeping up with all this social media is hard going but well worth it! Got 6 bookings on Feb's workshop already! :D

Well saw the doctor this morning and got my supply of steroids, got to start out on full strength 6 all at once, once a day for 5 days then a lower amount for the next 5 days, etc. See how that goes and get back to him to see how things are going.

Things are apparently starting to work as he said oxygen was getting around better and temp and heart must be OK he checked them but didn't say anything. I don't need to have any more antibiotics at the moment, he'd already upped the dose of the mucus tablets which are slowly clearing that up.

:D Think I'll live. :p

Pleased to hear your bathroom is finally finished and yes I saw you'd been busy adding your new classes, good luck with them. ;)

:roflmao:I will, certainly don't want to look like her, mind you she looks like she probably has a normal spine so I wouldn't mind having that, I can beat her on the frontage though. :p

Thanks for the well wishes, the doctors have said it will take a long time but I'm hopeful it will get better.

That's great news Joan, glad you are finally getting the help and support you need, am loving Bill's pic that is very funny! They always say laughter is the best medicine! ;)

We've done a little Christmas shopping today, although it didn't turn out too great at the end, John left some stuff in the bags and Hannah saw it. Numpty....when you want a job doing!

:D You should know by now how sneaky kids can be and will always find things you don't want them to. :p
