Minnie Mouse Cake (1 Viewer)

This was one of the first proper cakes I made for my daughter when I went on a Slatterys Cake Course. It was hard work, and to be honest, I wasn't sure I'd be able to complete it. But once I'd finished the workshop, I realised it was something I enjoyed doing and wanted to continue to do.

The cake was made in stages, starting with the dress and shoes. The shoes took me a couple of attempts, but I got there in the end.

Then the hands, gloves and bag.

Then to the head, this was the most daunting part, especially trying to get the face on.

But I did it and ended up with this.

It's not perfect and a little rough around the edges, but it was my first attempt at a 'real cake', and I enjoyed it.

Julie, the lady who ran the course, wrote 'Hannah' for me.

Overall it's not bad, mainly because it was quite challenging. I loved the skull and crossbones one the lady made for her 18-year-old daughter while we were there.
