I saw this today and just had to share it, it's one of the sweetest vids I've ever seen. The flour moustache and the double-dipping made me laugh as did Roman's attempt to break the eggs. What a wonderful thing to share with the world. :) Keep on baking, here's to the next generation...:shortcake:
I was reading an article today that said out of a poll of twenty cakes Lemon Drizzle topped the bill. To be honest I've never actually thought about what my 'best' cake is but I would probably have seasonal choices if I'm honest. Don't get me wrong I love a bit of Lemon Drizzle, but that for me is more of a summer cake. For winter I'm more of a treacle sponge pudding with lashings of hot custard! Hmm, my mouth waters just thinking about that. :p I'm also good with anything that consists of strawberry jam but not the strawberry bits as I don't like them! I'm thinking why have one favourite when you can have so much more! 👩‍🍳🍩🍪 Here is the full top 20....so what's your favourite? I must confess I have been enjoying some Lemon...
Oh, my word cake and shoes, what better two words together, the only problem is I want to eat them! I would so love a pair of these; I bet they'd go down a storm at the cake conventions! Shoebakery.com @A Guy, What do you reckon Bill, any of these take your fancy? :tearsofjoy:
Wow, these puppies are far too cute to eat and look extremely realistic. I'm really impressed with how well they keep their shape considering they are made from ice cream. I can see a ton of moulds being made up as we speak. The new doggie fad!
Yes, people today is Shrove Tuesday. Pancake Day and also Olney Pancake Race Day! It is the day when people of old used to use up all their fatty ingredients before lent began and as a result made pancakes with them, hence the name Pancake Day! Traditional English Pancakes are thin flat cakes that are made in a frying pan from a poured batter and then tossed until they are baked, they are then laid out or rolled and then covered in lemon juice and sugar. American pancakes are much fluffier and one of my favourite treats, to make these you would use most of the same ingredients as the traditional pancake however you would sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt into a mixing bowl, then make a well in the centre so...
Celebrations, creativity and chocolate, are the ingredients for this happy holiday. Yes, that's right it's National Hot Chocolate Day and what better way to celebrate than to...... Catch up with friends, grab a drink on the go or my personal favourite... ...Melt into a big comfy sofa, kick off your shoes and relax; in one hand you have your cookie of choice and in the other you have a freshly whipped mug of luxurious hot silky chocolate, lightly coated with a hint of cream, covered with a sprinkle of marshmallows that you know will slowly dissolve into that gooey creamy goodness upon impact. (Ooh I can feel the soothing chocolatey hug coming straight out of that mug as I speak). This national holiday has to be one of my...
Happy National Shortbread Day! There's no better way to celebrate this occasion than to make up a batch of freshly baked Shortbread and sit down with a nice cup of tea! So whether you dust them with icing sugar, sprinkle them with sugar or enjoy them just as they are, be sure to take five minutes and indulge in this traditional holiday around the world! Tea anyone?
I've just received a link on Facebook regarding this product and ordered myself one thanks to Joan..... I'm not sure when it's arriving but looking forward to having a play about with it when it does! I have ordered it via Clevhouse who call it The Cake Mould and then I discovered that Amazon also sell it but it's called a Bake Snake. I'm hoping that one order is enough as the description tells me you can do over 50 cake shapes! I'm hoping this is the case otherwise I'll have to order another one!
