Yes, that's right, the lovely Linda and I will be back working our baking magic once again at the Oasis Academy. We will bring you an array of Christmas goodies, plenty of demonstrations and the determination to create your own hamper! The course this year will be a two-day event that covers the whole weekend. Christening Cake Toppers Class This is a sleeping baby girl all snug in her baby blanket along with a blue edible train topper. Either of these designs can be used to top a christening or baby shower cake. These will be taught in tonight's lesson on the Cake Baking and Decorating Courses at Salford College. Please bring some ready-made icing with you if you would like to make some.
These are the Christmas cupcake topper models we made on our latest cupcake workshop. We have our token snowman, Santa stuck in the chimney, a festive penguin followed by a polar bear, the bag of presents and finished off with some Christmas pudding. I think we have just about covered everything barring the reindeer, but we can't have everything they will be made on another class! These cosy intimate workshops are a source of relaxation and are a great way of learning new skills and meeting new people especially with the dark nights drawing in! No prior skills are needed for the class and the only prerequisite is that you are open to having a good time. Qualifications and Certificates Please note that I have the following qualifications and certificates: I'm a PTLLS Qualified Teacher 5* Hygiene Rating Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene for Catering The homemade cupcakes are baked off-site fresh on the day and all aprons, tools and equipment are provided for you so the only thing you have to do is turn up. Wednesday 18:30pm - 20:30pm - As part of the Festive Creations and Cake Decoration 10 Week Course On tonight's lesson we will start by levelling your pre-made fruit cake and then covering it using icing/fondant to create a smooth finish. Once covered we will create festive decorations to enhance your cake and give it that Christmas cheer. There will be plenty of time for a practical session so please bring the following items: Your pre made Christmas Fruit cake. Sharp knife. Cake board. Rolling pin. White Icing/Fondant (Found in the baking aisle in the supermarkets). Marzipan Icing sugar or cornflour. Apricot Jam Cake box or container.
