Madeleines (1 Viewer)

These are the lovely Madeleines I have been making today.

My Dad likes them, and Hannah loves them; I must admit I am quite partial too.

They look gorgeous but shouldn't they be dipped in chocolate at one end.

I've seen viennese fingers with chocolate dipped ends but never madeleines, they are French tea cakes that are very moreish. I couldn't have dipped mine as they had a lemon flavour so it wouldn't have worked, although my Dad did ask me if I could put filling in them and although I could it would only be a slither as the cake cookies are so thin.

Most people classify them as cookies too even though they are cake based.
