Halloween Cupcakes - Student Creations

We had a thoroughly enjoyable Halloween Workshop on Monday as always; however, I'm going to wait until I have finished tomorrow's Choux and Chocolate Log lesson before the write-ups are posted. Saves me doing two sittings...I don't have enough time for that! LOL! :D
.....

Ok, I lied I am going to post the write up now while it's all floating around my head...

Firstly I'd like to say a quick hello to Fozia who is our newest Workshop attendee, and of course, I have to mention our die-hard fans, Gail, Louise, Sue and Doreen (aka Cake Boss). Doreen had informed us that she had been watching Buddy for 9 hours straight...so no pressure on me then! LOL! She just can't get enough of him. I was also Sue's alarm clock for the day along with her Mum and her phone, and everyone else she got to remind her about the workshop...we are very pleased you made it though, we had much fun as always.

Monday's workshop theme was spooktastic Halloween; we had witches, ghosts, gravestones, mummies etc. so all a bit gruesome as you would expect. We also nearly ended up having our own cake off! Louise is very creative and likes to add enhancements to all the cupcakes she decorates, and now Sue is hot on her heels. We nearly had modelling sticks at dawn lol, they were still enhancing their designs right down to the wire, they were adding cobwebs and overgrown grass to the gravestones boils to the witches noses, curly hair, windswept hair etc. I even joked that if they keep on competing, I'm going to have to start dishing out prizes.

Joking aside though we all had great fun and these girls made some great models, they used plenty of icing on the cupcakes which I'm sure went down well with everybody...well.......who doesn't like cake.

Hats off to Gail who wasn't feeling well for the workshop but did manage to create some wonderful designs. Fabulous job, my dear! Hope your cold goes soon!

Thank you for a fab night ladies, you keep me on my toes and make me appreciate even more what I do. There are definitely a lot more of us on the next one, and I'm excited because it will be Christmas themed! Yeah, go Santa!!

That's it for me over and out... I'm off to iron then bed! Night peeps!
