Sugar cookie recipes and eggs (1 Viewer)

Hi. I'm new to this site.
I've seen sugar cookie recipes that call for eggs, and some that do not. What is the difference in outcome? Thanks!

Hi Jackie and welcome to the site. :)

Eggs are used to help bind the cookie, add richness and create a fluffy texture for the cookie when being baked. Using no eggs or just egg whites will give you a much drier texture and slightly different flavour.

One of our late members shared with us this Drop Sugar Cookies family recipe that is over 40 years old.
