These Easy Ghost Cupcake Toppers won't take long to make, and you'll only need a few bits of equipment from your kitchen. If you do have more time, they are definitely one worth making with the kids. 1 Make a batch of cupcakes and let them cool. (I then filled mine using a bismark nozzle).
Use one of your circle/pastry cutters to measure the top of the cupcake so you know how big to cut your icing fondant.
Roll out some of your black icing fondant and use your pastry cutter to cut a circle.
Place the icing fondant circle on your silicone mat until you're ready to use it.
Now lightly coat the top of your cupcake with either buttercream or jam; I chose jam.
Place the black circle on top of your cupcake. The buttercream or jam will hold your icing fondant in place.
Do this for all your cupcakes.
Roll out some white icing and insert the tulip cutter into it.
Push the cutter through the icing and then remove the tulip shape from the rest of the icing.
Now take the small circle push cutter.
And make eye sockets with it. Do this by pushing the cutter into the icing fondant.

Make two circular holes for the eyes.
Then use the oval cutter for the mouth; if you do not have one, use the circle cutter again or squeeze the end of a drinking straw and push that into the icing instead.
Then, using a paintbrush, wet the top of your icing with either edible glue or a little water.
Pick the ghost up and place it on the top of your cupcake.
Use your finger to lightly push down and put the ghost in place.
Use a dry paintbrush to soften the eye sockets and remove any excess bits of icing.
And there you have it, a very quick and easy Ghost Cupcake Topper.
