Use one of your circle/pastry cutters to measure the top of the cupcake so you know how big to cut your icing fondant.

Roll out some of your black icing fondant and use your pastry cutter to cut a circle.

Place the icing fondant circle on your silicone mat until you're ready to use it.

Now lightly coat the top of your cupcake with either buttercream or jam; I chose jam.

Place the black circle on top of your cupcake. The buttercream or jam will hold your icing fondant in place.

Do this for all your cupcakes.

If you do not have a circle cutter, you can use a straw instead.

Make two circular holes for the eyes.

Then use the oval cutter for the mouth; if you do not have one, use the circle cutter again or squeeze the end of a drinking straw and push that into the icing instead.
