Cake mix dilemma (1 Viewer)

I have been given a bag of red velvet cake mix. I would like to halve it as it is too much for one cake. Can I just weigh out halve the mix and halve the other ingredients you need to add I.e. oil etc..

Yes, I've used cake mixes and brownie mixes before and apportioned the ingredients to the amount of the mix I'm using, so you should be fine. You could always check on the manufacturer's website or wherever the person bought it from to see if they can offer you any further advice too.

Whilst I remember, be sure to amend the baking time also.
