Sounds good Joan. I rarely turn on my heat, maybe 10 times in a year. But I'm hot blooded, and often have the window open when I sleep :)

That's excellent Joan I'm sure the newness smell will go in no time. I don't know of that many people having the oil type boilers now but I am glad it's a brand new one and working properly for you. Good luck with your hospital visit today and I'm sure the car will pass with flying colours!

@Bill, wow 10 times in a year, with our weather you can have it on ten times a day especially when the temperature really drops. As for the hot bloodiness are you sure it's not your Michael perm keeping you warm. :p

It's actually sunny today here albeit a bit chilly.

Yes the newness smell has gone now, as for the hospital. :grrr:
I'd been told to be ready at 11ish, 25 to 1 they still hadn't turned up so I phoned the ambulance service, yes they were coming for me, who told you about ready at 11, I said the ambulance service. You shouldn't have been they know we don't get there till after 2pm, my appointment was for 1.30pm. They turned up at 1.45pm and they had to pick up another couple of people. On the way they got a call that one of the pickups was cancelled so we carried on to the other one, picked up this very elderly couple, the wife sadly had Alzheimer's, she got very upset when the attendant was getting her into her seat crying and kept asking for her husband and was he alright. They must have been well into their 80's they'd been married 65 years.

Got part way there and they got a call that the hospital couldn't see them so we had to turn round and take them back home. :eyeroll:

They checked for me and I was OK to carry on, finally got there 2 hours after my appointment. When I went in to see the Sonographer the only problem was having to lie flat on my back on the couch and I was in agony the whole time. :crys:

Then it was time to wait for the ambulance to come and pick me up, everyone had gone who were there the reception staff had clocked of, they turned up and had to drop someone else off first and I finally got home at 6.15pm.

Got several nodes on my thyroid but they are all benign and there's a big one on the left side which she said they probably wouldn't operate on but it may mean a fistula fitted or then again it might not, depended on what the doctor said when he got the results. :eyeroll:

Well that was my day, such fun. :roflmao:

Thanks Bill, just going to phone the doctors to arrange for a nurse to come out to take a blood sample, the specialist wanted one doing at the end of this month, so with the results of that and the scan he should know what treatment I need. :eyeroll:

Aww bless Joan, you always have fun and games when waiting around for ambulances, there never seems to be a dull moment with you. I'm surprised they didn't ask you to lock up on your way out! Big hugs and hope it's all sorted out for you soon minus the hassle. Hopefully you'll be able to get the results in a jiffy and then they can sort you out.

Thanks Angie, the receptionist did jokingly say they could book me in for bed and breakfast. :roflmao:

Got to phone the boiler people Monday, it has a leak. :eyeroll:

Long time since I've been at Help Me Bake, wanted to say hello to all and everyone :)

Well hello there Kari, didn't realise you were a member here, I love your Edit, I take it it was a liquid lunch so you couldn't see properly. :p

LOL no this time it was English not being my native language; I should separate browsing Finnish and Swedish news sites and browsing forums more clearly, my posts are always full of typos after spending an hour reading news in my native languages :)

Too small brain for fast language switching.

Welcome back Kari, don't be a stranger

Excuse me A Guy, who are you? (Just joking...)

Hi Kari lovely to see you back on here, hope you are doing well. Considering English is not your native language you do wonderfully posting. Don't worry about any typos I can always edit them.

LOL it doesn't surprise me, honestly you could make a sitcom about your trips to the hospital. The sketches would be hilarious. Sorry to hear about your leak! Hope you get it fixed soon.

@Lula hello to you too sounds like you're chilling. Enjoy!

I know, it's a great life if you can get it, we're currently juggling half term! I had to laugh though as Han thought these hols were the Christmas ones, I think she's getting ahead of herself. :D

I know I think she thinks she has been at school forever so she was due a nice earned break bless her. Time seems to drag for them unlike us.

I know but hopefully it will drag for her for awhile yet. This half term has been good for Kelly, she's hardly seen the boys, Connors friend has been staying with his gran this week and she's been taking them out most days and including Cameron. :)
Pembroke Castle has a Halloween event tomorrow so Kelly and her best friend are taking the boys, her friend has a young boy, to that as part of Connors birthday treat. He'll be at school this year on his birthday, the first time it's happened. :D

Ooh the castle event sounds fabulous for Halloween I'll bet they'll have a ball going round there. I'm sure they will have kitted it out with lots of ghastly treats and plenty of spooky goings on. I know what you mean about Connors birthday, this half term week always seems to change each year. It'll be the first time Han has been to school on Halloween since she's been there.
