    Advice on Batter

Hi Angie, Based on the cakes I've made so far and the rainbow cake trials, it seems baking on the middle shelf of our oven gives the best results. For a layer cake, this means baking in 2 or 3 batches depending on how many layers there are. I'm fine with this, however it raises the question...

Searching for cake icing from childhood

I was recently having a conversation with a friend about Banana Bread, and he asked the question as to whether you can toast it. Now personally, after making the loaf, I can go through half of it just taste testing it before you'd even get it near a toaster but in answer to his question, yes...

    Pastry question ?

Hi I am making a short crust pastry, I would like to ask can I roll out my pastry and put it in the dish then into the fridge to chill before blind baking, rather than chill before I roll out. I find it rolls out quite well before chilling. After chilling it breaks around the edges quite a bit.

    Ask Siri the zero question.

As well as continual sneezing today we also asked Siri "What is zero divided by zero?" as per the twitter trend. We were quite amused by the results. Try it, it's quite funny. :D Me like cookies. ;)
