I've always got at least 3 packets of them in the cupboard and one opened in the biscuit tin Angie. They do a crunchy version of the spread as well Angie, the smooth one is a 400g jar at £2.38. Asda has it at present but Tesco doesn't have it back in stock yet.

Have you tried the chocolate variety, we found them in Tesco and gave some to Han's Grandma, she'd never seen them before.

@thomaseg1 your spread sounds fantastic, and Alice obviously agrees. I hope you guys all had a wonderful Independence Day! Did you do fireworks too?

@A Guy, how did you spend yours?

We had Trimdependence Day, and all managed to get our hair cut! 🤣

Well done on the hair cut Angie, not been on to my hairdresser yet, she comes to the house but I can manage a bit longer before I'm desperate so it gives her a chance to get back in a routine.

I've not seen the chocolate ones I'll have a look for them.

It's not been the best day today, Johns' Mum died this morning, she was 93. We have been expecting it but it's still upsetting when it finally happens. She had dementia and she'd started to get violent, even though she had no strength as she'd been bedbound for the last few years but she was hitting out at the staff in the care home she was in and lately she had stopped eating and drinking, it was as if she'd given up.

Whenever Johns brother went to see her in these last few months she hurled abuse at him and often told him to go or she was sedated so usually asleep. One of the things that always made us laugh was as far as she was concerned Kelly was a dancer and taught dancing and her children were 25, it was sad but really we lost her a long time ago and at least now she's at peace and not suffering any more. :crys:

Still any loss to a Family is a tragedy. My prayers are with you.

The neighborhoods kids provided enough fireworks right up to 2 am.
stuffed with plenty of leftovers is how I feel. Microwaved a couple of burgers today for my dinner.

Today was shopping day, shopping at 5am, have the store to myself. Had to laugh in my mask when I saw they have this

Search Results | Safeway ice cream

Would have not even noticed it before this thread, lol

A Guy

Angie, my 4th was just fast food drive through and otherwise uneventful. Usually guy on my block has artillery, but either out of town, moved, or...Covid-19 :plead:penmouth:

@Joan, it's been over four months since I last had my hair done so it was in dire need. Han bless her couldn't even see through her fringe. I'm sorry to hear about John's Mum. Dementia is a very cruel disease so hopefully, now she is at peace and it's good that even though the times were sad you can laugh a little with the Kelly story. Sending you a big hug and much love. :loveit:

@A Guy I cannot open the Safeway Link, I'm not sure if it's the laptop I'm using but everything I go on is telling me access denied!
So you managed to get a Drive-Thru, whoop whoop go you, I hope you thoroughly enjoyed it. I do hope you find out what has happened to your neighbour though. Maybe he couldn't get supplies in time.

Nothing to report from me except back on the home-schooling and cracking the whip again. 🤓

Sorry If I'm brief but this wet weather has my arthritis going to town, my hands feel like someone stepped
on them.
Had to use a premade pie crust but I filled it with Jello pudding and topped it off with meringue.
Thank goodness for mixers.
Lasted about an hour with nothing left but crumbs, :)

Ooh, I hope your hands feel better soon. We cannot work out what is going on with the weather at the minute as it's hot and cold every five minutes.

It's always good to cheat on a pie now and then and seeing as you only have crumbs then it obviously went down a treat. 🙂 We're still ploughing through the school work, so no baking as such going on here. However, I will be cooking soon and making steak and chips for tea.

Get better soon Thomas, hope the pain isn't too bad. The weather down here can't make it's mind up what it wants to do, although the sun is out today but it's not what you'd call summer weather.

Your pie sounds tasty and as long as it was enjoyed what does it matter if you cheated, you're entitled to once in a while. :D

We've got fish tonight, fish fingers, mashed potatoes with peas and parsley sauce.

Hope she's not in too much pain Bill, it can be very frustrating if she's been used to using her hands a lot and she can no longer do the things she loved to do. :disappointed:

There is a spray (I believe it comes in a cream too) Depending on where you live "Icy cold" (I'm all out
so I can't remember the name right off. That works to ease the pain a bit. Though it
wont help the stiffness.

She has fibromyalgia as well :( And bad shoulder, skinny as a rail...85 isn't for the weak!

A Guy
Ouch! Growing old is no joke. I hope she's well looked after and her pain is well managed I can sympathise with regards pain so know how miserable it can make you feel.
