It wasn't so good here today, they have stated that the temperature is supposed to be raising as a warm front is coming up from the south. Trouble is that could probably bring rain with it. :(

Rain nooooooo, it's supposed to be scorchio on Friday. I hope that you do get the umbrella out but to block the sun not protect you from the rain.

Well, I had to go for my root canal today! 😭 Unfortunately, though it didn't go to plan and I now have to go again to get it sorted when my mouth gets better. This is the longest tooth saga in history. 🤔 I can feel my face now though so that's good. 😁

John took me to the chippy before so I managed to eat a portion of chips on one side of my mouth. I didn't chew them just let them melt in my mouth. Hopefully, I may be able to chew tomorrow.

I also had a little rest and watched a movie.

OK you've just answered the question I asked you in the other thread, you're feeling a bit better now. Sorry to hear you've got to go again though.

Miserable again today and the wind is getting up now.

Yesterday the replacement Pen Mouse came and this one is OK, it's slightly fatter than the other one I got but at least it works, so now I can swop them over every now and then.

I've found one problem I need to look into. When I plug my mouse into the USB port it turns off the touchpad on this laptop but the same thing doesn't happen when I plug the receiver into a USB port. The touchpad is still active so is causing problems when I'm typing and catching the pad. :eyeroll:

Thanks Bill, I'd missed that setting, although there are no problems when I attach my mouse the touchpad turns off and starts to work again when I unplug the mouse. I've just ticked it and all is fine now, thank goodness for someone who knows what they're doing. :D

Yeah, that Shawn :)

Great you got it sussed.

Today was supposed to be 2 crowns, and reattach the loose one. Instead it was reattach, and a root canal :( As soon as he started on the cracked tooth it was painful. Sooo, next Friday hopefully 2 crowns as he already took the mold. Assuming it's under my insurance limit...

Lol, well I hope yours goes better than mine. My root canal was stopped halfway through so I have to go back in about eight weeks for part 2, that's if my abscess sorts itself out by then.

It's a beautiful day again today; if this carries on, we shall be giving you a run for your money. 🆒

Also trying to get back into the swing of things now that Han's back at school today.

Our lot are starting their half term this week, your side of the bridge always seem to have theirs a week early, I'm not sure about Scotland and Ireland though.

It's gorgeous here again as far as having the sun out, although it's still a bit on the chilly side so still got a bit of time to go before we get some heat back into it. :)

Lol, I know it's weird, isn't it? Then some of them have two weeks in May when Han only gets one. It used to make me laugh when I was teaching at College because even though they were under a different borough and weren't that far, they had different holidays too.

Today has been busy busy busy! I stepped out in the sunshine today for ten minutes just to bask in the rays and talk shop with John, then I've been back to it creating the new Basic Baking section for the site. I'm not doing bad considering I only started it yesterday. I thought it would come in handy for all the newbies or those starting out. I'm trying to give them one place where to get the info from rather than searching all around the site for it. I've also been making umpteen appointments, and I've not even got around to my in-tray yet. I've been productive though so that's the main thing.

Lol, no such thing for me always doing something or having to do something. I don't know what to do with myself otherwise. Considering I've had a bit of downtime over the past few weeks, it's great to be revved up a lit bit for a change, although I must admit I was really tired yesterday when I had finished. 🙂

Been playing with a new mouse today. The pen mouse is ok but John wouldn't have managed it so I was looking for a mouse for him to use with his laptop in a confined space.

Saw a wireless re-chargeable mouse on Amazon so ordered a couple and they came today, so far so good, they have a nice feel and it's nice being free from wires plus not having to keep buying batteries. They are supposed to keep working for a couple of months when fully charged before they need to be charged again. They come with a cable so you can charge it from the computer while you still use it.

Looks nice, I have a wireless mouse and keyboard, but the mouse was so twitchy, I never used it. On occasion I duplicate my desktop to my TV and sit in my recliner and use them. A Guy

😂 You're doing that bulk buying spares thing again.

Let me know if it's any good, I have batteries in mine and then get annoyed when it doesn't work properly even though the battery light is flashing at me.

I prefer a proper mouse though to the pen one you bought but having said that I do most things on my PC so a pen one for me wouldn't cut it.

I don't like touch screens either; I forget I have one then touch the screen and then wonder why things have moved. All this technology eh bring back pen and paper! 😂

I like it, it has 5 DPI settings that you get clicking that button behind the scroll wheel, 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, 2400.

My laptop is a touch screen and that came with a pen to use on the monitor, you can use it as a tablet.

I'm finding it very responsive and it feels nice in the hand to work with. Will have to wait and see how long it lasts before a re-charge is needed, I switched it off last night when I shut down for the night but left the receiver plugged in.

So is your backup mouse fully charged ready for when this one needs re-charging?

I'm currently working through my in-tray properly today finally, so that's looking a little better although I have ten orange post-its on my desk that seem to be breeding every time I look at them. 🤔

How's the weather Joan it's pretty miserable for us today? Cold, wet and windy. This is what happens when you get the summer furniture out for the one beautiful day you had in Feb, and then it creeps back into that winter mode again. The tables and chairs nearly got blown away last night with that gale or was it Freya that was tapping at the window? 😂 Either way, I hope she's gone now and that Springtime Sunshine shows her lovely smiling face. ☀
