I've never really been one for wearing high heels, I was tall enough without them at nearly 5'9" through my adult life and now even though I'm short, think I could just about make 5'4" if that, I couldn't wear them.

Mind you as I don't go out I live my life in slippers. :D

Wearing the short skirts when skating was the norm back then unless you were only just starting and the skates were lace up, whether they were your own or the hire ones. I did my skating at Nottingham Ice-Rink where Torvill and Dean started out. Met my first husband there, his mates had persuaded him to go, wish they hadn't. :(

I loved heels when I was younger and then moved onto heeled boots for work under my suits, but now I can't even wear those. Now I'm all about comfy slippers, trainers and shoes that support my toe otherwise I can't walk properly.

Ooh did you ever see Torvill and Dean?

Morning! Today we have the bathroom guys taking out my toilets and changing Hans shower over. They've just turned the water off, and I forgot to fill the kettle. :lmao: We're hoping fingers crossed that the tiles they have to remove for the shower will be minimal as we only have 9 in the garage to replace them.

No, Chris and Nathan, my bathroom guys worked their magic and managed to re-tile and put the new shower in no probs. The only slight difference is we got a lighter grout than the rest of the bathroom but you can't tell unless you're looking. All 3 toilets have gone in now too, so that's all sorted, we also discovered that two of them had been leaking so it's a good job we got them replaced.

Now I'm making Sunday dinner, roasters (roast potatoes), chicken breast, veg, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. I'm hoping I get to enjoy it because I keep getting indigestion. :eyeroll:

I hope you managed to enjoy your dinner, we had the same but without the chicken and with new potatoes as well.

I agree it's a good job you had them done or they could have been leaking for years and caused no end of trouble.

I'll have to sort my hair out now, came out of the shower about 7 and I've just been sitting here wrapped up in towels and my towelling dressing gown so I'll have to take the towel off my head and get the de-tangling brush through my hair, it's quite long now so takes some sorting out.

The Occupational Therapy lady came to see us Thursday to see about getting us a grant to have a walk in shower fitted instead of the bath, we have to go through the local council. Just got to wait for a man to come round now and do some measuring. Oh and she's sending the care and repair man out to repair the step outside the door and fit a grab rail at the side of the door. :)

Yes, it was really nice considering we haven't had Sunday dinner in ages and I'd forgotten how long to do my roasters. :lmao:

So how's the hair doing? Did you manage to sort it with the detangler? I bought Han one of those and they are just the best thing ever!

Ooh good luck with your bathroom renovations, I hope they sort a grant out for you as the shower will make things loads easier for you. When's John's Gran changed over to a shower it was so much easier for her to bathe etc rather than trying to get in and out of the bath.

After tea, I cleaned all the bathrooms so that they were nice and sparkly for first use! :lmao:

I hope you're enjoying some downtime and having a rest on Labor Day Bill. [emoji631] Be sure to save us some cake. [emoji513]

Slice from the middle of course :) I alternate either side leaving both ends. The ends I toast and slather with butter :) Lasts me about a week.

Rest? I worked all day, lol. It's Labor Day, not Rest Day :) Thanks anyway

Accounting today, to say that it was farcical was an understatement. :scream: Hey, ho role on tomorrow! :eyeroll:

Well I've got my household accounts up to date booked an Asda shop for tomorrow but had to do a bit of sorting out, don't know if it's been one of the latest Windows 10 updates but had trouble trying to use the Asda website via Edge and also had problems trying to get into Amazon through it as well. I've had no problems before although a while ago I had the same sort of trouble with the Asda site but nothing else. Anyway used Chrome on this laptop to get Asda to work and Firefox on the desktop to use Amazon.

Done the normal cooking to feed us as well and now trying to catch up on the forums. :D

Non stop issues from the moment I started work today. Was so happy when 5 PM came around so I could work without interruptions!

Not really done much today, sorted out getting my appointment for my yearly eye test, taken delivery of a small Asda grocery shop and now got to go and start cutting up the veg for the guinea pigs before getting our dinner ready. See you all soon.
