Nothing wrong with that if it understands you. I give up doing voice commands to the tv or sat nav because it never understands me. Alexa does though most of the time but then sometimes she ignores me. [emoji23]

I've had no problems with it so far, but as I said half the time I forget to use it. I don't use Alexa, don't have anything connected to it, haven't even used Cortana or Siri, feel a bit silly sitting there talking to the computer when it's quicker to just type what I want in the search box.

I see that program The Big Bang is finishing next year, funny how we were talking about it over the last couple of days.

It's funny how I never use Siri or Cortana but I'm quite happy to use Alexa. She's great for my shopping list.

I'm gutted about TBBT I'm trying to skim over the news so I don't see any spoilers. I really love the characters and will be sad to see it end. But I'll probably just watch it all over again. It really does make me laugh out loud and is fabulously written. I can't praise it enough it really is comedy gold. [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

What have you got with Alexa Angie, is it an Echo? I've seen the tall ones and think that's what Kelly has, I know I can use it on my Kindle Fire, but never have. :D

Yeah, they can be called Alexa or Echo but sometimes they interfere with the TV when somebody is called Alexis and then she chimes in mid programme. :lmao:

OK came here then lost connection, only my laptop to the router so got that sorted and here I am again.

It was funny though Angie, wonder what the answer would have been if you asked all 3, Cortana, Siri and Alexa, I'll have to try it one day when I've got five minutes to play.:D

So Han and I have been out Ice Skating today and neither of us fell over which is a triumph in itself! After about 30 minutes of being there and hanging on to the edge all the way around I finally got my groove back. :D We met up with the lovely Linda (my teaching partner) and her grandchildren.

It has been about 25 years since I last ventured on the ice and there was a lovely lady there who got out of my way and praised me for sticking with it and building up my courage. I nearly knocked her partner flying, but we won't get into that! :lmao::lmao::lmao: We had great fun, and I love the big polar bears they have that you can push around on the ice. You hold onto the handlebars on its ears, and it keeps you steady while you are going around. They're weighed down, so you don't fall over. Han wouldn't touch one because I think they would ruin her street cred, so she stayed around the edge and built up her speed. I forgot that moisture and my hair don't mix well, so I looked liked I had been electrocuted by the time we got out of there, I didn't have a brush in the car either, so it was Sideshow Bob hair all the way home! :tongueclosed:

Fun day though and will most definitely do it again, I was at the mercy of Sat Nav that wasn't up to date with the new road they have built but neither was Google when I viewed it. Well, we made it there and back in one piece so pretty much a good day.

Sounds as if you had fun, even if you did look as if you'd been electrified. It's been at least double your figure since I last went skating, I used to love it, we never had anything like those bears to help you round just had to make do with the barriers to hold on to, it was a great relief when you graduated to actually skating and not having to use anything to hang onto.

Mind you thank goodness for the thick tights we wore under the short skirts and having your own skates was so much better than having to hire the rinks skates.

Only ice skated once loooong ago. My issue was wanting to break my ankles bu having my skate fall over sideways. I bet walking in high heels would have been good practice. A Guy

We did have fun; I'm just proud of myself for staying up vertically for the duration of the session. I got off the ice and then got back on, but I managed to maintain my balance.

Wow, ice skating in skirts you must have been brave Joan, we didn't have anything like those polar bears either, we just skated or fell, back in those days. Thick socks and jeans were our preference then and now. One of Linda's granddaughters had her own skates, but we hired ours. They were much better than the old lace-up ones. These were like ski boots with clips.

@A Guy Bill, maybe you should try walking in some heels; lol, ooh they might suit you, I'm only jealous because I can't wear them anymore due to my arthritic toe. I would love to strut my stuff in them again! Well for five mins until they hurt my feet! :D
