I'm not sure if you guys have seen this in the papers recently but I just had to share it. :lmao: Being an avid Friends fan and after seeing the picture of the 'thief' caught in action Ross has protested his innocence!

You've gotta love social media!

We believe you Ross....but thousands wouldn't. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I LOVE Friends, I'm watching them all again at the minute with Han. John wonders how I can still laugh at them after all this time but I just love it. Even though I know what's coming it still makes me laugh out loud.

That's how we feel when we watch Last of the Summer Wine or Open all Hours, we still find them funny no matter how many times you watch them. There are a few others that have the same effect but Friends has never been on our list of programs to watch.

I never watched Friends when it was originally on, but started watching in reruns. I've seen them all, but generally don't watch any more...like Seinfeld, all were great, but in reruns, no desire to watch any more. A Guy

There are a few we watch that we always find funny and we've watched them several times. :D

Have there always been American TV shows on there? Going back a while, Barney Miller? Home Improvement? Johnny Carson? The Honeymooners?

I think it was 2001 when we got Sky and got American programs. We loved watching the makeover program with Ty, can't remember its name or his surname, along with other American ones. Liked the drama like NCIS, CSI, Law and Order etc. American comedy was not something we really took to, although our son loved South Park and The Simpsons.

Yeah! It's pretty much all I watch, as a kid it was Cheers, Miami Vice, Cagney and Lacey and the Golden Girls...loved that show! Now it's everything from SVU, Grey's Anatomy, The Resident, NCIS, etc. It's pretty much all I watch. I record it all on my Sky box and then watch it at my leisure.

Beyond a few shows, mostly PBS, we didn't have English shows here, but came to find many American shows were based on English ones. I was about 14 or 15 when Monty Python showed up on PBS on Sunday nights. I used to watch Candid Camera, and was flipping around during a commercial. I couldn't stop watching, it was WTH! I remember a buddy and I double dating and took the girls to see Holy Grail :)

Lol, John loves Monty Python but it's not something I've ever been into. Ooh now Candid Camera, yeah I used to like that. :)

I used to watch that and Through the Keyhole, Generation Game plus a few others. Some of the reality shows they put on these days aren't worth watching.

I watched that one a few times, although it wasn't until I retired and the kids had left home that I actually took any real notice of the TV and even now a lot of the time it's just background noise and I just listen and occasionally look up to watch what's happening.

I watch TV mostly at night just before bed, tell a lie I also watch an episode of something if I'm on the running machine or if I'm having my breakfast other than that I don't watch it in the day. I don't watch any live TV and just record everything to watch at my leisure when I've finished working and cleaning/faffing about after tea.

John turns the TV on when he gets up in the morning and it stays on for the rest of the day then.

I listen to the radio all day, gotta have music to work to. I used to hate it when we couldn't listen to the radio at work it seemed to drag. Music keeps you motivated. I think it should be compulsory in all offices. It is in mine anyway. :cool:

Not really worked in many places that had music playing, you wouldn't have heard it in some of the places I worked because of the machinery noise and some of the offices I was in just didn't have it and of course when I was cleaning there was no music. :(

Wow varied job lady, I've worked in a lot of places where I had my own office so it was something that I agreed with the Directors. When I worked at one accountants it was deadly silent and you couldn't really talk that much so it was pretty grim. Some offices don't mind it, whereas others just won't tolerate it. I think it makes the atmosphere happier and the day goes faster.
