Ross from Friends...it wasn't me! (1 Viewer)

I wouldn't say I like being mocked, I like having a laugh though. I think trying to keep up with technology keeps me on my toes. :D

Yeah, the problem is you know more about it than we do. :D

@A Guy I wonder what our 'Friends' movie would look like! It'd be a nail-biter because Joan's in it and you know we're always on the edge with her shenanigans. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Work in Asda and your musical needs will be fulfilled! I also have my fair share of American programmes but there are some English TV programmes that you just cannot beat like Doctor Who (when it was actually good which is season 9 in the updated ones and every season before that) and I LOVE South Park and The Simpsons because they're just those kind of programmes that you can watch and enjoy but also to make you laugh. :p

My daughter Kelly loved it when David Tennant was the doctor, I don't know what season that was, I don't really watch it, only on the odd occasion. My son was the South Park and Simpsons fan, not my kind of program at all I don't like the swearing.

The programs that we like to watch to make us laugh are ones like, Last of the Summer Wine, 'Allo 'Allo, etc. we mainly watch nature programs and American drama like NCIS, Law and Order etc. I like documentaries like Alaska: The Last Frontier, Alaskan Bush Family, Supervet and Paul O'Grady and his dog programs and Alan Davies doing the animal programs.

I probably seem very old-fashioned to you and I probably am but I don't like a lot of the modern programs because of the way a lot of them think it's OK to use bad language. I'll tolerate a lot but certain swear words make me cringe and there's no way I want to keep hearing them in a program that is supposed to be entertainment. :)

No, I've never seen that, nor have I seen it advertised either. I've just watched the trailer on it so it may be on History but I've never come across it. Do you watch it?

I've never heard of it either but we don't watch the History channel that much.

It's about the only show that I actually watch. I am usually on the computer and more listen to TV. This I watch On Demand and skip through the commercials. I don't know if they will find pirate treasure, Templer gold, or Shakespeares's manuscripts, etc. , but SOMETHING happened on that island, and it was big.

I'm a bit like you Bill and listen more than watch TV, just keep looking up every now and then to see the action, it sounds a bit like something hubby would be interested in but at the moment we've got lots of things to watch either in real time or recorded.

Did something happen or is it like an Urban Legend? I saw the trailer for it but I'm not sure if that's just to get ratings? I watched the one a while back when they were all searching for Gold. I cannot remember what it was called though.

They have found some things on the surface, a very old lead cross, coins, etc. They just found a crossbow bolt that appears to be Roman...In Nova Scotia! Underground where nothing should be they found human bones, scrap of parchment, leather book binding, etc. I am not convinced there is treasure, but what else would cause humans to dig that deep...and back in the day when it was all by hand.

The thing is, all the people on the show are likable, they aren't making like everything is a miracle, they are skeptical, etc. AND, they are spending considerable sums of their money to get to the bottom of the mystery. I enjoy it :)

This is the 6th season. People have been searching for treasure there for over 220 years

6 people have died over the years, they play up the "curse" in the opening, and how 7 people must die... But it's not that kind of show. It's gotten very scientific in this new season with seismic searching, and closing off a cove so they can dig, etc. I can see how you'd think it's a mystery show or something, but the only mystery is what went on on that island.
