Thank you. 😍

Yeah! So I caught up with my friend. The only problem is that I always seem to end up with a dodgy connection, which cuts out. But if I stay very still and don't move, it plays nice. 🤣

Today the weather has been much better so we actually got to go for a walk and I've even had a ride out in the car. Whoop whoop!

As for tea, we currently have pork steaks with apple slices in the slow cooker, and the kitchen smells amazing!

We've had sea mist here all day so very damp and miserable.

Got my Wiltshire meals today and I'm going to try their sausage casserole tonight, it was a cheap week this week, 5 dinners and 1 pudding for £ 20.12.

When I asked my driver what the roads were like he said not too bad until he got to here and being shrouded in mist and the road around the corner which is still flooded. It's a crossroad and the field at the side floods and that spills onto the road, it's been that way for years.

Well, at least he managed to get you! £20.12 that's fab, you can't say fairer than that can you? How was the sausage casserole, and what's the pudding?

It's overcast here today; I'm hoping that it stays dry, albeit grey so that we can get out for a walk. I'm currently trying to order my God-daughter's birthday presents online, and Han has told me I have to wait to put it in the order so that she can do the gift tag in her words. LOL! I'd have had it done and sent by now! Speaking of which she's here now! Must have heard me. 🤣

Aww, bless you, I'm delighted that you don't have covid and do hope the mild case of pneumonia leaves you very soon. Wishing you a very speedy recovery.

It was OK but not one I'll have again. It was sausage in a sauce flavoured with swede, carrots and parsnip with mashed potatoes and peas, I thought the sauce was going to be flavoured with the other veg but it was sliced up sausage and the veg was in pieces, the carrot was alright but I'm not a fan of swede or parsnip so that put me off. I had rhubarb crumble and custard for pudding.

I'm trying another new one tonight, a fisherman's pie but I'll probably enjoy that as it has fish I like topped with mashed potatoes with peas and carrots. I don't know what pudding I'll have, I know I still have a small Christmas pudding but I might save that till I have one of my turkey dinners.

The weather here wasn't too bad first thing but then we had a couple of drizzle episodes and it seemed to be trying to brighten up but the mist has come in and it's wet again, what a surprise. :eyeroll:

Did you manage to get the present sorted out?

Aww, that's a shame that you didn't like the casserole, but at least you know. I love crumble but find rhubarb a bit tarty. Have you not had the Fisherman's Pie? I'm sure we've had a fisherman's Pie conversation? Yeah, save the Christmas Pud for the Turkey Dinner.

We had Chicken Dinner last night, and it was fab even if I do say so myself. The home-made roasters just melted in the mouth.

Today's weather is a bit grim, John just tried sending me out to collect the wheelie bin, but I'm having none of it. 🤣 I looked like I'd been electrocuted when I came in from yesterday's walk, so I'm trying to keep my hair in one piece until we venture out later.

Yeah, I sorted the present(s) the only problem is now they're coming on two different days! But hey it's not like they're going anywhere so we should be good.

Do you know where you will have to go for the vaccine? John's parents have both just had their first ones done.

I know a few people of all ages that have had the jab, so hopefully, if it continues we shall all be heading towards a much better future!

We're on the howling wind now; I've no idea what the sun looks like at the minute because we haven't seen it so please enjoy it, Joan. 🌞

We got a new mattress today for the spare room, so that's unfolding as we speak. I've had to open the windows though due to the newness smell of it. I went in before, and the window was wide open because of the wind!

Semi chill day too, no school, just chores today.

I have to go to the leisure centre in Tenby for the vaccine Angie. I expect it means they can do more at a time in a larger area, there had better be toilets near the entrance or I'll be in trouble when I get there. :eyeroll:

I'm sure they'll have all the facilities you'll need. Do you know when you have to go yet?

Yes it's next Saturday at 2pm, Kelly said I was safer at home than I'll be having to travel to go there for a jab as I'm isolated here and don't see anyone and when I do it's just delivery men and they all stay outside and are masked.
The only one that comes inside is my Tesco delivery man and he's masked and we stay more than 2 feet away from each other while he puts my shopping on the kitchen work surfaces, the way my house is built the kitchen door is the first door people get too after coming up the drive.

Here we're expecting Johnson & Johnson to ask for emergency approval for a 3rd vaccine soon. That one is a one shot vaccine, and only requires a regular refrigerator to keep it cold. It's expected to be the vaccine used for rural and isolated areas here. It is less effective, but should prevent any infections from being serious and life threatening

Hopefully they can just come to the car for you Joan? Just a jab through the window would be easiest, and less exposure to anyone except your driver

I doubt if they'd just come to the car there as it is a set up in the leisure centre, which is normally the swimming pool and gym building. I don't really know how many they will be able to set up but it will be more than just a one on one with social distancing in place and then you usually have to sit someplace for about a quarter of an hour to make sure you don't have any adverse effects.

Some of the testing centres are in car parks, but the vaccines are issued in buildings so that they can monitor you.

I hope you guys manage to get the jab safely and have no adverse effects. From what I'm reading, the centres are geared to keep everyone socially distanced and constantly sanitised so you should be fine.

To be honest, I think most people are isolating themselves away from everyone, so I'm sure there should be little to no interaction between the people who are going for the vaccine. The way they're rolling it out they must have a better understanding and will constantly evolve with how they administer it. At the end of the day we all want the safest outcome, so I'm sure they're doing everything in their power to sort that.

I know everything will be under the government guidelines that is not a problem and I want to get the jab. It's the actual journey and how far I will need to walk to the nearest loo that will cause the problems because of my medical conditions, that is what is giving me stress.

Drive thru vaccinations are common here. You sit in your car for 15 minutes after so they can help you if any bad effects. They have ambulances on site, etc. My medical provider isn't doing them, but they (like most) are having trouble getting enough vaccines. They are still on 75 plus, next is 65 plus...so my time won't come for months
