How to prevent your cake from moving when covering or icing.

When you are covering a cake with icing fondant, buttercream or any kind of frosting you will need to ensure that the cake does not slide or move.

In order to keep the cake in place simply put a blob of buttercream, frosting or jam on the middle of your cake board and place your cake on top. This will act as an adhesive between the cake and the board and will ensure your cake stays in it’s place whilst you decorate.

If you have any excess showing on the board then remove it with a slightly damp piece of kitchen towel.
